Article Submission Guide

Sociavera: Review of Social Studies and Culture is a journal that publishes works in the field of social sciences. Authors wishing to publish an article in Sociavera should ensure that their work falls within at least one of the fields listed on the Sociavera Journal Aims and Scope page. Sociavera Journal subjects submitted articles to a two-stage article evaluation process consisting of preliminary evaluation and peer review. Articles submitted for publication are meticulously and objectively reviewed in the preliminary evaluation stage, and those deemed suitable are sent to the peer review process. The peer review process, conducted using a double-blind peer review system, assigns reviewers who are experts in the subject matter and have in-depth research in the relevant field. To this end, a rigorous peer review process is undertaken. Article submissions must be in Word format and prepared according to the Sociavera Journal article submission template. Sociavera: Review of Social Studies and Culture is a journal that publishes works in the field of social sciences. The article submission process for Sociavera: Review of Social Studies and Culture consists of the following stages:
Article Preliminary Evaluation Process:

1. Plagiarism Screening Stage (On the Day of Article Submission)
Sociavera: Review of Social Studies and Culture first conducts a plagiarism scan of submitted articles.
The online scan, performed using the iThenticate program, focuses on two aspects regarding the plagiarism rate. The first is the overall plagiarism rate of the study. This rate should be below 20%. The second aspect is the details in the plagiarism report. Regardless of the overall plagiarism rate of the study, the percentage of citations from any other work in the plagiarism report should not exceed 3%. After the plagiarism scan, both the overall plagiarism rate should be less than 20% and the percentage of plagiarism per source in the plagiarism report should be less than 3%. If one or both of these conditions cannot be met, authors are asked to revise their work, taking into account the plagiarism percentages in the plagiarism report and the information in the Plagiarism Detection section of the Sociavera Journal (http://www.sociavera.com/index.php/1/tr/plag). Authors can send their revised work to the journal editorial office via email without needing to submit a new article. The revised work will be subjected to a plagiarism scan again, and if the conditions are met, the work will pass the plagiarism scan stage. If the conditions are not met, the work will be rejected. For article submissions, a plagiarism scan is performed on the day of submission. If the plagiarism report meets the journal's criteria, the work proceeds to the next stage, the Article Preliminary Evaluation (Scientific Competence) Stage, on the same day of submission. If the plagiarism report is not satisfactory, the authors are informed, and the first stage process continues.

2. Article Preliminary Evaluation (Scientific Competence) Stage (Within 3 Days After Article Submission)
After passing the plagiarism screening stage, the submitted article is taken to the Article Preliminary Evaluation (Scientific Competence) Stage to measure its scientific competence before being accepted into the Peer Review Process. At this stage, articles are subjected to preliminary evaluation based on the following criteria:
• Suitability with the journal's aims and scope,
• Compliance with Sociavera Publication and Writing Rules,
• Originality, novelty, or level of importance,
• Study Design (Statistics, Model, Analysis, Rationale…)
• Attractiveness of the study to the journal's readership,
• Linguistic and comprehensibility level of the study,
• Language of the study (Priority is given to articles prepared in English.)
• Format of the study (IMRAD format or Traditional format. Priority is given to studies prepared in IMRAD format.)
• Whether the study contains recommendations for managers, the business world, or other external stakeholders (Priority is given to studies containing recommendations.)

As a result of the preliminary evaluation, articles are either sent to the peer review process and at least two (2) - usually three (3) - reviewers are assigned, or they are rejected by the editorial decision.
